The Photo Solstice, the Fondazione di Sardegna project within AR/S – Arte Condivisa in Sardegna dedicated to photography and curated by Marco Delogu, inaugurated in 2018 in the Asinara National Park, is back. Confirming the nomadic nature of the project and its desire to involve and relate to a plurality of territories by representing always different realities, the fifth edition of The Photo Solstice will find a new venue in Cagliari from 22 to 25 June 2023, while the present application must be sent no later than 23 May 2023.

Participants will be invited to confront and reason broadly on the theme of borders, be they of a cultural, historical, geographical or social nature through a photographic workshop curated by Pino Musi, in which the city of Cagliari will be read between land and sea, across neighbourhoods, in a geography illuminated by changes and contradictions. Enriching the Photography Days programme and providing further insights will be international guests, including the great photographer Don McCullin, Maison Européenne de la Photographie director Simon Baker, curator Maria Alicata, London Photographer’s Gallery director Shoair Mavlian, FOAM photo editor Elisa Medde, film director Cosima Spender

The participation fee will be entirely supported by the Fondazione di Sardegna and includes hospitality and food during the course of the event and participation in the planned activities.
